Inspiration for Maggie Norris Couture ‘Yenkaterina’ Corset …
My Dream was to find a Sargent style Painter to Paint the Maggie Norris Couture ‘Yenkaterina’ Corset. Nelson Shanks, who has painted Princess Diana, Ronald Reagan and Luciano Pavarotti, appeared for this dream and Painted Kiera Chaplin and his Studio Model in our Corset.
I was Inspired by the Painting of Madame X By Singer Sargent and Johannes Vermeer’s, Girl with the Pearl Earring. The ‘Yenkaterina’ Corset was featured in Bergdorf Goodman’s Window, Bergdorf Goodman’s Magazine and InStyle Magazine.
“Portrait of Madame X is the informal title of a portrait painting by John Singer Sargent of a young socialite named Virginie Amélie Avegno Gautreau, wife of Pierre Gautreau. The model was an American expatriate who married a French banker, and became notorious in Parisian high society for her beauty and rumored infidelities. Madame X was painted not as a commission, but at the request of Sargent. It is a study in opposition. Sargent shows a woman posing in a black satin dress with jeweled straps, a dress that reveals and hides at the same time. The portrait is characterized by the pale flesh tone of the subject contrasted against a dark colored dress and background.”
“The painting Girl with a Pearl Earring is one of Dutch painter Johannes Vermeer’s masterworks and, as the name implies, uses a pearl earring for a focal point.”

We are raising funds for Reach Within, a Charity with sites in Grenada and St. Vincent that helps vulnerable children develop social and emotional skills to succeed in life. Co-hosted by The Men’s Collective and The Ladies’ Collective, and held at the Glamorous Gansevoort Park, the Event promises to be Fun, Magical and Memorable!"
