‘Gilda’ Straw Hat by Ellen Christine Couture
This type of style was very popular and seen all throughout the early 17th century. The crown of the hat is a 1940’s style as a throwback to 17th century Dutch. The 'Gilda’ is made of a wheat straw mix, sewn from a vary narrow braid. The wire, in this hat, is hand bound with dyed tulle.
